New Lockdown Update – 5th November 2020

In order to comply with the new regulations, the Parish Hall cannot accept bookings for the duration of the Lockdown period – 5th November to 2nd December.

However, the dfE and the Early Years Alliance have confirmed that Parent and Toddler groups can continue to meet during this lockdown period, so our Under 5’s group will meet as normal, observing the social distancing guidelines set out in the Parish Hall’s Special Covid-19 Conditions of Hire.

Please get in touch by email parishhall@edingtonwiltshire.org.uk if you would like further information. Should the regulations change, we will of course post updates.

Stay safe and well.

Edington Parish Hall – Covid 19 update – October 2020

EDINGTON PARISH HALL – COVID – 19 UPDATE

We have carried out a Covid-19 risk assessment and having put all of the required measures, including the NHS QR Code, in place to keep everyone who uses it safe, the Parish Hall is now open for business but unfortunately with limited capacity, due to the social distancing guidelines, and only for certain events.

Regrettable refreshments cannot be served as the kitchen remains closed.

Face coverings are required by law to be worn unless exempt.

The maximum number of people permitted, observing social distancing rules is as follows: If the 2 metre rule is followed then a maximum of 8 people, if seated; if the 1 metre plus rule is followed, 16 people if seated, plus a speaker, could be accommodated. However, as the guidance remains for people over 70 and those deemed to be vunerable to maintain a distance of 2 metres, then should they attend a meeting along with those who can follow the 1 metre plus distance, then the total number of people attending would have to be reduced. For example, if 2 people over 70 attended, the total number would be 14 plus a speaker. If tables are required then the permitted numbers are reduced even more.

At the moment no Parties or Wakes are permitted due to the ‘Rule of 6’ and the current social distancing guidelines

If you would like more information prior to making a booking, or a copy of the Parish Hall Risk Assessment and the Special Covid-19 Conditions of Hire please email parishhall@edingtonwiltshire.org.uk and include a brief outline of the nature of the booking.

Stay safe and well.
