EDINGTON PARISH HALL IS OPEN!
Keeping the Hall and all who use it safe after Lockdown.
With the easing of restrictions from 19th July, the Parish Hall is once again open to all of our regular users and to private hirers with the risks managed by those hiring the Parish Hall; keeping the Hall ventilated, encouraging social distancing, hand washing and the use of hand sanitisers are still thought advantageous in helping to reduce the transmission of Covid-19. NHS Test & Trace have asked that although it is not a legal requirement, the QR code remains on display so that people can ‘check in’; event organisers are also asked to continue to collect contact details of those who attend.
People who have been isolating for much of the pandemic, particularly those who are most vulnerable may wish to take a more cautious approach, so it is important to consider their needs when planning events and activities. It may therefore be appropriate that at some events, measures including wearing face coverings and social distancing are taken into consideration, so that people who are clinically more vulnerable, not yet fully vaccinated or are feeling anxious can attend and feel comfortable.
While all activities can resume, to keep everyone who uses the Parish Hall safe, the guidance from ACRE (Action with Communities in Rural England) is that no more than 50% of the Parish Hall’s capacity should be used. This means that for talks and meetings where people are seated side by side, 20 – 30 people is recommended. When people are seated around tables, for example at a coffee morning or lunch, the number is reduced to 20 people. Larger events will be considered on an individual basis.
More advice and information on how to use the Parish Hall safely can be found in our Covid Risk Assessment and Special Covid Conditions of Hire.
